Besom's / Brooms

A witches broom is not used for flying around the country side at night as portrayed.

It is a very important tool for the witch. It is used in ritual sweeping out or cleansing of areas - specifically her special place or temple. If she does magic elsewhere her broom should always be first to clear the area of negative energy. The broom is used at the beginning and ending of all ceremonies or spells.

It can also be used for sleep flying when she is meditating or in certain spell working.
